Introduction

Testing the latest batch of Mitsubishi Rayon driver shafts couldn't have come up at a better time.  While I was happy with my driver setup, I was getting golfer's elbow pain, and I was able to determine that my driver was the culprit.  When I was testing the Mitsubishi shafts, I noticed the elbow pain went abroad, and I likewise got acquainted with the new Kuro Kage Blackness TiNi shaft and had somewhat of an awakening with my game off the tee.  Post-obit the success of the lower launching Kuro Kage Silver TiNi, Mitsubishi introduced the Titanium Nickel (TiNi) Wire engineering into the tip of the new Blackness series to give golfers more than control and a more consistent feel.

Looks

Generally speaking, the Kuro Kage Black TiNi has a modest look with minor branding and a basic blackness, greyness, and silver color scheme.  With all of the bright, hockey stick style graphics on the market, it's squeamish to have a more simple looking shaft that isn't a large billboard.  At the same time, the Kuro Kage graphics are unique and still add a picayune bit of graphic symbol.

Feel

Feel and control are where the Kuro Kage Black TiNi really started to differentiate itself. The Black TiNi has a smooth and consistent feel to information technology that'southward very solid.  It'south similar to what we plant in the Silver TiNi shaft, but nosotros also said that "Golfers with shine or slower swings volition probably want something that has a trivial more than snap to it" when information technology comes to the Argent TiNi.  I retrieve the Black TiNi has that extra snap that the smoother and slower speeds are looking for, but the faster and more ambitious swinger volition appreciate it every bit well.  In addition to the great feel, I found the Kuro Kage Blackness TiNi to be very piece of cake to control and hitting different types of shots with.  I do struggle to hitting low burners with it, simply I am able to comfortably hitting mid-trajectory to high shots.

Operation

I initially tested the Kuro Kage Blackness TiNi shaft in the wrong driver caput and constitute lower numbers than I'yard accustomed to.  Not i to quit, I switched the Black TiNi over to my gamer driver and had a much different experience.  In one case I got the Black TiNi dialed in, I was hooked, and I've even stuck with information technology through the honeymoon phase.  Now, I'k not going to claim I added 50 yards of altitude or that I'm striking the ball like Jason Day and Dustin, only have I definitely started hit the Blackness TiNi further and more consistently than my other driver shafts.  What I really like most this shaft is the explosive and piercing flight I'yard getting out of it.  Since switching to Kuro Kage Blackness TiNi, I've establish that I can drill the brawl through the air, and the shot is very heavy and long.  To brand my second hockey reference in ane review, I would equate it to beingness like a heavy slap shot.  As Fall approaches in Chicago and the winds pick up, this has proven to exist extremely benign.

Decision

If you read Mitsubishi's product page on the Kuro Kage Black TiNi, you'll find a little of notes on interesting applied science and science that goes into this shaft.  While I'k into that "whole kind of thing," and it'south great data, this was definitely a shaft where the actions spoke louder than words.  The Titanium Nickel Wire makes the shaft more stable and the Depression Resin Content Prepreg makes the shaft lighter and stronger for enhanced experience.  I'll take Kuro Kage's give-and-take for it, but the Blackness TiNi'southward incredible experience and performance have cemented this shaft as my electric current gamer.
